Channel Wisdom

Identify a "sage," someone you consider to possess exceptional wisdom and virtue. This could be a historical figure, a mentor, or even a fictional character. When faced with a difficult situation or decision, pause and ask yourself: "How would [name of your Sage] view this? What advice would they give me? What action would they take?" Consider their principles, values, and past examples of their behavior. Then assess the solution. What makes you confident about this plan? Act in accordance with their example, striving to embody their virtue and wisdom in your own actions. At the end of the day, assess your plan and the outcome. Marcus Aurelius said: "Choose not to be harmed—and you won't feel harmed. Don't feel harmed—and you haven't been." How will this process inform your actions in the future? How will following a sage assist your life decisions?
