Silence the Scroll
Detach from the constant stream of information and stimulation to regain focus and mental clarity. Reduce exposure to news, social media, and entertainment to cultivate inner peace.

Disconnect to Reconnect
“External things are not the problem. It’s your assessment of them. Which can you erase right now?” -Marcus Aurelius Today, step away from the constant stream of information and give your mind the gift of quiet. For this one day, practice a complete media fast. No news, no social media, no television, and no non-essential internet use. Let yourself experience what life feels like without the pull of notifications or the noise of opinions. Notice what rises to the surface in the silence: do you feel restless, bored, or unexpectedly calm? Observe your thoughts with curiosity instead of judgment. Spend your reclaimed time doing something that nourishes your inner world. Read a few pages of a Stoic text, take a walk outside, write in your journal, or engage in a heartfelt conversation. As the day unfolds, pay attention to how your energy shifts without digital input. Before bed, reflect on your experience: what did you learn about your relationship with media, and how can you bring this awareness into tomorrow? Today’s quiet is your teacher. Listen closely, peace is often waiting beneath the noise.
I went to a Benson Boone concert at the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA. It was fantastic, and I was so moved that I now Boonescroll instead of Doomscroll. I added my new term to the Urban Dictionary.
